Jim's Famous Chili con San Diego
This hearty all beef chili is blended with our secret herbs and spices and smoked for hours giving it that smoky goodness you are looking for in a good Texas style chili. Our chili does not have any beans in it, but if you feel the need for beans, they can be added at just the right time so they are firm but not mushy. You get enough chili to easily feed a family of four with leftovers.
I placed a big order from Jim's Backyard Barbecue for a multi-family birthday get together.We had about 13 people and ordered the brisket, babyback ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, chili, mac n cheese, cowboy caviar, beans, and cornbread.It was a great meal.The meat was so tender and flavorful.We all ate so much.The group raved the most about the brisket and the pulled pork.The brisket, pulled pork, chili, chicken, cornbread, and cowboy caviar were my personal favorites.Amazing!Also, the portions are huge.Jim was also a pleasure to deal with.He answered all my questions prior to submitting the order, delivered the food exactly on time, and was super friendly to chat with.Overall, it was a great experience.

The brisket, chicken, and ribs were very delicious, some of the best I've ever had. Usually BBQ chicken doesn't do it for me, but Jim's chicken was so tender and perfectly flavored. Definitely will look to eat here again and maybe bring a few friends with me too :)

Located in Mira Mesa, CA with 30 years of smoking and grilling experience I started Jim's Backyard Barbecue with one smoker and one grill, the encouragement of friends and family and a vision to create the most authentic Texas smoke flavor around.
